Pair of French Antique Os De Mouton Armchairs

Description: This is an elegant pair of Armchairs made from solid beech by the beginning of the 20th century. This type of armchairs is commonly called Sheep Bone or Os de Mouton in French, a designation describing the shape of the pediment. Each features a tall arched back standing above a large seat, flanked by nicely scrolled armrests, and is supported by a matching pediment with the four legs connected to each other thanks to a H-shaped stretcher, which is providing stability and sturdiness. The fabric is estimated to be a couple of decade old and in a slight used condition, it has fruits pattern. Circa date 1910-1920. Dimensions 45"high/ 20"seat height/ 23"wide/ 23"deep.
