19th Century Antique French Renaissance Style Liquor Cabinet
stock #179002NM1180
Description: This is a very nice and decorative Liquor Cabinet made from solid and nicely patinaed oak by the end of the 19th century. This piece is originally coming from Dijon, capital city of the historical Burgundy region in eastern France, one of the country’s principal wine-making areas (We strongly advise you to google the name of the city to see great pictures of this marvelous town). This cabinet consists of a parquet top with thick borders sitting upon a step-back facade flanked by faux columns highlighted with volutes and trellis design, all standing on boldly gadrooned feet. The facade features a single recessed paneled door boasting a beautiful embellishment depicting grape and a couple of jumping deer. It reveals a spacious storage area with several compartments and a pair of shelves mounted on the door. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa date 1890-1900. Dimensions 39"high/ 44"wide/ 19"deep.
