19th Century Country French Louis XV Style Confiturier Cabinet

Description: This is a very nice cabinet made from a nicely patinaed cherry by the beginning of the 20th century. This type of cabinet is commonly called Confiturier by the French (Jam Cabinet) and is originally from the south of France. Offering elegantly simple line, it is very convenient thanks to a large upper drawer with single handle above an adorable recessed paneled door revealing a spacious storage area with single shelf. Note the long hinge barrel mounting the door. The lock is in working condition. Minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1910-1920. Dimensions 38½”high/ 34½”wide/ 21½”deep.
