18th Century Antique French Oak Farm Table

Description: This is a beautiful and lovely patinaed Farm Table made from solid oak by the middle part of the 18th century during the reign of Louis XV. This stunning piece is original coming from the Bearn area located in the Pyrenees mountains in southwest France. This table consists of a long rectangular top boasting two type of parquet designs separated in their center by an inlaid Maltese cross typical of the area. The pediment consists of a long straight belt supported by straight legs connected to each other thanks to a H-shaped stretcher providing stability and sturdiness. Note the single drawer mounted with its brass knob, located at the end of the table, providing a very large storage capacity. Several minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age.
