18th Century Antique French Louis XV Period Oak Cabinet Confiturier

This is a beautiful second half of the 18th Century Cabinet, commonly called Confiturier by the French (Jam Cabinet), made from solid and lovely patinaed oak by the end of the reign of Louis XV. This charming piece is featuring a large single drawer mounted with its original wrought iron handle above an adorable recessed paneled door revealing a spacious storage area with a couple of shelves all supported by a nicely scrolled apron on cabriole legs and escargot feet. Note the beautiful hinges holding the door. Key and lock are estimated from the beginning of the 20th century and in working order. Several minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1760. Dimensions 42"high/ 33"wide/ 17 ½”deep.
