19th Century French Marble Mantel Clock And Urns

Description: This is a beautiful and elegantly simple mantle set consisting of a clock and a pair of urns, commonly called Cassolettes by the French, made by the end of the 19th century. The clock is highlighted by a gilt frame and Roman number with the name "L. Kohly Marseille" on the face and " Bernard Lyon" on the interior works. It included its original key and is in working condition and shines each hour. The pair of cassolettes was usually used as large candle-holders. The type of marble used is named May Black and is originally from Mazy in Belgium. Circa date 1880-1890. Dimensions for clock 13"high/ 19"wide/ 5"deep. Dimensions urns 10"high/ 7"diameter upper plate.
