18th Century Antique French Louis XV Period Buffet

This is a stunning Buffet made during the Louis XV period throughout the 18th century, originally coming from the Haute-Garonne department in the southwest of France. This beautiful piece combines two type of wood. The main frame is made of oak while the drawers and doors are made of walnut. The straight facade is adorned with Sunflower motifs, typical from the area. It features a two-drawer frieze upon a lovely pair of recessed paneled doors, all with their beautiful and original hardware with the lock on the doors in working condition. This massive buffet is supported by a nicely scrolled apron standing on cabriole legs with escargot feet. Note the fluted columns flanking the facade. The interior compartment is very spacious with a long single shelf. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1750-1760. Dimensions 41"high/ 54"wide/ 24"deep.
