This is a very decorative pair of panels made from solid and nicely patinaed walnut by the end of the 19th century. Both are actually sliding doors coming from a Buffet a Glissant, typical from the south of France. Each is accented with detailed olive tree branch and wheat which indicate the region of Provence. Minor scratches and dents can be seen due to the age. Circa 1880-1890. Dimensions 14"high/ 22"wide/ 1"deep.

This is a very nice and decorative panel, originally inspired of the Louis XVI era more or less one hundred and twenty years earlier, made from solid and nicely patinaed walnut at the beginning of the 20th century. This ornamental item is coming from a bigger structure commonly called Boiserie by the French and was used as an "above the door panel" upon a pair of tall interior doors. Minor scratches and dents can be seen here and there. Circa 1900-1910. Dimensions 20½"high/ 52"wide/ 1"thick.

They are depicting mythological characters such as Diana the Huntress (the goddess of the hunt) and Fortuna (the goddess of the luck). This is a beautiful and massive pair of marble brackets handmade by the end of the 18th century, each sculpted from a single piece of Caunes Speckled Gray marble. The quarry was originally located in Caunes-Minervois in Aude South of France. Used greatly during the 17th and 18th century for furniture, decoration and fireplace. Note minor chips on edges.
