This is a very decorative pair of panels made from solid and nicely patinaed walnut by the end of the 19th century. Both are actually sliding doors coming from a Buffet a Glissant, typical from the south of France. Each is accented with detailed olive tree branch and wheat which indicate the region of Provence. They are depicting mythological characters such as Diana the Huntress (the goddess of the hunt) and Fortuna (the goddess of the luck).
